Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi

Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi

After Cherating, Raymond and I left for Bukit Tinggi, which is at the south west of Pahang. It took us another 3 hours of long drive there.

This was actually the second time I'd been here. The first time was exactly one year ago with my family on my birthday too. We decided to come here because Raymond hadn't been here before and I promised myself that I would come here again.

Plain Grilled Cheese Sandwich & Grilled Tuna Cheese Sandwich

Plain Grilled Cheese

Tuna Grilled Cheese

I had heard of grilled cheese sandwich quite sometime ago, and it's a common breakfast in the western country which is so simple and delicious. Just imagine how the cheese melts, it made me feel so tempted that I have to try this.

Apple Stuffed Potato Pie

Got up late this morning, but I did get a good rest after days and weeks of work. As usual in Malaysia, Sunday means sunny day, it's always hot and sunny on most Sundays.

Spent most of my time at home with Raymond, chit chat, talking about houses, the design of the dining room, living room, sleeping room, toilet... and the most important thing is the kitchen.

After he went back, and waiting for my parents return from KL, I felt quite bored. While watching food show, I had the idea of stuffing my favourite mashed potato into any fruit that I can get it in the fridge, and I guess you know what I found. =D

Mashed Potato and Mushroom Gravy

Top: Lagsana
Bottom: Mashed Potato and Mushroom Gravy

Today is my sister's convocation. It's sad that I can't attend because it was all in a sudden and I have classes going on at home.

Both of my parents attended her convocation and there's no one to cook for dinner, and since Raymond, my guy requested me to bake him something, I was thinking, "Why not? After all, I'm getting myself dinner too!"

Spiral Pasta

Spiral Pasta

I had applied leave for today not for any reason, but trying to use up my annual leaves, and so far this was my second leave for this year.

Got up late from bed, had my brunch, watched a lot of TV shows and rested a lot until my dad called and I promised him that I'll have dinner ready for the family.

Happy Father's Day - Red Chocolate Cake

Happy Father's Day to all fathers in the world

My father is a very strict Chinese man. When we were little, he controlled and punished us a lot that sometimes we were quite afraid of him. But as we grew up and started to think back, he had done everything for us that no one can be compared to him.

Making A Simple Handbag

Been watching television during school holiday, and I learnt something new from a Taiwanese show on how to make a handbag using unused skirt instead of throwing the skirt away.

Piai Cape and Kukup Island

On Monday, after i made myself breakfast, my father asked me whether I have any plans for holiday. Knowing that I didn't have any, he suggested that maybe we should go for a trip to Kukup Island in Johor Bahru.

With a sudden plan, we left home quite late. We stopped at Aunt Luciana, my grandaunt's place at Seri Alam, Johor Bahru for that night because it was too late to travel, and we don't know where it was exactly.

Simple Bread Pie

Roxanne's bread pie

Mid-year school term break had just started, and since I had time to make myself breakfast, I decided to make something different instead of French toast pizza. Almost the same method, but I want to make it look different this time.

Birthday Cheesecake

Rekha's birthday is on this coming Sunday, but I won't be seeing her until 6th of June as we're having our holidays for one week.

Earlier on, she had requested for a cheesecake, the first time when I bake for my colleagues, she was not around, so I decided to make another one for her birthday.

Cheesecake covered with chocolate butter cream

So far I had already baked the cheesecake for a few times, my family really enjoyed, including my relatives in Selangor. This cheesecake was known as Japanese Cheesecake.

Happy Mother's Day - Chocolate cake

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers in the world

She's my doctor, and I'm her patient;
She's my teacher, and I'm her student;
She's my cook, and I'm her taster;
She's my tailor, and I'm her manikin;
She's my everything, and I'm nothing to compare;
She's my guardian, and I'm her angel (the rascal one =P);
And the most wonderful thing of all that God created,
She's my mother, and I'm her daughter~
Happy Mother's Day, mum~ I love you~

Yesterday after tuition class at home, Claire (a cousin who was also my student) wanted a suggestion from me about baking a chocolate cake for mother's day. Showing her the baking book, and browsing through videos in YouTube, we finally decided which cake to bake.
