Kiwi and Mango Fruit Tart |
The tart pastry was the same as the egg tart pastry that I usually use. For those who don't like sugar, as long you know how to control the flour and butter, you can also try flour, butter, pinch of salt (if you're using unsalted butter), egg and a few spoons of hot/cold water (optional).
And for the cream, after making icing on the previous posts for a few times, I find that I can use the same method for my cream filling since they looked almost the same, so I decided to try my luck on making my own cream instead of buying, and it turned out just fine.
Tart Pastry Recipe:

3. Add in butter and knead with your hand until mixture turns into crumbs.
4. Add in egg, knead it until it becomes dough.
5. Separate dough into 12 small balls, then shape each ball into the tart moulds with your thumbs.

Fillings - Simple Homemade Cream Recipe (by me):
1/4 cup cornflour
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup sugar
100g butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence or any other essence that you want
1. Sift cornflour and sugar into a saucepan, then pour the milk into mixture and whisk.
2. Place saucepan on medium heat. Stir mixture until thickens. Remove from heat and leave it aside to cool completely.
3. With an electrical mixer, beat butter until soft and creamy. Then add in flour mixture and vanilla into butter, beat on medium speed and mix well.
*This is neither pastry cream nor whipped cream. You can get whipped cream from any super mart if you're lazy or don't want to dirty your kitchen.*
