Spent most of my time at home with Raymond, chit chat, talking about houses, the design of the dining room, living room, sleeping room, toilet... and the most important thing is the kitchen.
After he went back, and waiting for my parents return from KL, I felt quite bored. While watching food show, I had the idea of stuffing my favourite mashed potato into any fruit that I can get it in the fridge, and I guess you know what I found. =D
Recipe:
1 red apple
1 large potato
1 tablespoon butter
1 small chopped onion (optional)
1/4 sliced sausage (optional)
3 tablespoons milk
1/4 cup grated cheese
1. Preheat oven to 180°C, cut potato into cubes and boil it in a pot of water until the cubes are mash-able. Drain the water using a strainer.
2. While potatoes are hot, add in butter, then mash potatoes using a masher. If you do not have a masher, then use a fork to press the potatoes to mash.
3. Add in milk, sliced sausage and onion. Mix well.
4. For taste, add in stock and some seasonings that you desire.
5. Cut off 1/4 top part of the apple for the cover, then scoop out the content of it as picture shown.
6. For the content or left over of the apple, chop them and mix into the potato.
7. Stuff the mixed potato into the empty apple and place it in an oven-proof bowl, then top it with grated cheese. For the left over, you may place them at the side of the apple as picture shown.
8. Bake in oven for around 20 minutes at 180°C.
I placed my apple stuffed potato pie onto a dish, and then sprinkled some basil on it.
Time to eat~
